Who Is Our Senior Pastor?

Rev. Michael A. King has served as the Senior Pastor/Teacher at Wesley for the past 11 years. His preaching ministry spans  24 years and he has served two other congregations in the Philadelphia area during that time. In May 2018, Rev. King, was appointed the Presiding Elder of the newly re-organized Philadelphia District of the AME Zion Church. He is a passionate preacher and teacher who uses his gifts and talents for the edification of the Body and advancement of the Kingdom. He is a faithful, dynamic servant leader, committed to excellence in life and ministry.

We believe that the Holy Scriptures (Old and New Testament) contain all things necessary for salvation. We believe in God, the Father, Almighty, maker of heaven and earth and in Jesus Christ-His only Son, Our Lord. Who was conceived of the Holy Ghost, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, who was crucified, died, was buried and arose on the third day. We believe he ascended into heaven and there sits at God right hand. From there Christ shall return to judge the living and the dead.We believe in the Holy Ghost, the One Universal Church, the forgiveness of sins, resurrection of the body and life everlasting.
